ACHT Coffee – A very special story

ACHT was founded in 2022 by coffee expert Daniel Platzer as a sub-brand of bohnendealer.coffee to provide a fitting platform for the world's best coffees.

Why ACHT?

It's actually quite simple. A maximum of 8kg of each batch of ACHT coffees is roasted at a time. The range is always limited to ACHT different varieties, but the varieties change depending on availability.

Daniel founded the brand eight years after opening his first coffee shop.

And in many cultures, the number eight represents life.

So there are many reasons behind our name.

What makes ACHT so special?

We source the green coffees for ACHT.coffee directly from the coffee farmers, mostly on site. We are not fans of the eternally overused marketing buzzwords such as direct trade, sustainable, fair, etc.

We live it! We have personally visited most of the plantations ourselves. For all other varieties, we maintain personal contact through acquaintances at trade fairs or via video calls, etc.

Many raw beans (such as the coffees from Panama) are actually sent to us directly from the plantation via FedEx.

And some coffees are microlots that are produced directly for us. According to our wishes. This is the only way we can get the best.

And sometimes our contact with the producers is so close that we buy our own plantation ;-) – as in Rwanda.
